About Mimiki's Café ✿

Mimiki's Café was created in January 2025. I wanted to create a cozy community where I could express myself and my interests to like-minded people. Watching other creators share their process, thoughts, or even just them having fun is always very encouraging and entertaining for me, so I would like to do the same. I also wanted to make my own cute illustrations and products so I created characters I love. They are still being constantly reworked as I grow, as well as their stories!

About the Artist ✿

My name is Maria, but most people online call me by my user "Mimiki" or "Mimi". My pronouns are she/her. I enjoy many different hobbies, so I'm still trying to figure out a way to make them all fit together!

FAQ ✿

1. What are your favorite art forms?

I've experimented with different mediums, and currently my favorites are gouache and clay! I love animation and pixel art a lot but I do it less frequently than I would like. I also paint with watercolors, acrylic paint, alcohol/paint markers or colored pencils. I've been experimenting with polymer clay but most of the time I use air-dry clay. I also have other hobbies like crochet, book-binding, etc but I do those less frequently.

2. Are you a full-time artist?

Nope! I am a UX/UI Designer and Frontend Developer during the day, and when I have time and energy I create art!
I've been postponing my art shop for a long time but I'm so happy it is finally here :) If you are like me, I really encourage you to give it a try! And if you ever need help, feel free to join our discord server and ask!

3. Where are you from?

I'm Portuguese and living in Portugal since I was born.
